California EV Company Fisker Selects Hyderabad as Headquarters for Initial Operations in India

Fisker Vigyan India Pvt Ltd, the company’s operating entity in Telangana, will focus on software development and embedded electronics, virtual vehicle development support functions, data analytics, and machine learning. The Hyderabad office will work alongside the Fisker engineering and product development facilities in California, USA.

Fisker Vigyan India Pvt Ltd, the operating entity of Fisker Inc. in Telangana, extends the company’s global footprint and reinforces its commitment to harnessing technological advancements in the electric vehicle (EV) industry. This new branch will focus on software development and embedded electronics, essential elements driving the functionality and performance of EVs. In addition, the Hyderabad office will support virtual vehicle development functions, leveraging state-of-the-art technologies to create and refine vehicle designs.

The office will also delve into the realms of data analytics and machine learning, aiming to optimize EV performance, enhance customer experiences, and predict market trends. Functioning in tandem with the Fisker engineering and product development facilities in California, USA, Fisker Vigyan India Pvt Ltd is set to be a significant contributor to the company’s mission of leading the e-mobility industry.

Production of the Fisker Ocean SUV is set to begin on November 17, 2022. The vehicle will be manufactured at the carbon-neutral factory of Fisker’s manufacturing partner, Magna Steyr, located in Graz, Austria. The Fisker Ocean, in its Sport trim level, boasts an estimated range of 250 miles as per the EPA test cycle, and 275 miles or 440 kilometers according to the WLTP test cycle.

The vehicle’s design is sleek and stylish, encompassing innovative automotive technology and an eco-friendly interior crafted from recycled materials. The Fisker Ocean Extreme offers an increased estimated range of up to 350 miles (EPA) and 390 miles or 630 kilometers (WLTP). Fisker collaborated closely with battery supplier, CATL, employing two different chemistries to optimize performance and minimize cost for the Fisker Ocean lineup.
