Grunkemeyer left a top position at Microsoft to make a difference
Brian Grunkemeyer left his leadership role at Microsoft’s engineering department, a role he held for 21 years, to start up FlexCharging. The Microsoft engineering role included managing a big data system, running computer services on over 300,000 machines. Beginning in 2005, he began volunteering for the Sierra Club Energy Committee. He knew that a better EV charging solution was needed, so that was how the inspiration to start up FlexCharging began.
