Eaton and Charge Enterprises Collaborate on Fleet Charging

Eaton and Charge Enterprises, Inc., through its portfolio company, Charge Infrastructure, announced today a strategic collaboration to fast-track electric vehicle building (EV) charging infrastructure for fleets and car dealers. Eaton Corporation and Charge Enterprises have made a collaborative stride towards targeting U.S. fleets to expedite the establishment of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Recognising the escalating importance of sustainable transport for the future, the two companies are leveraging their unique expertise to set up a robust, nationwide network of charging stations. This initiative will ensure that fleets across the United States have access to efficient and convenient EV charging, accelerating the transition of the transport sector towards a more sustainable future.

With the United States setting an ambitious goal for EVs to constitute 50% of all vehicle sales by 2030, and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) offering enticing tax credits of up to $40,000 for commercial vehicles, the need for convenient, reliable, and affordable EV fleet charging has become more pressing than ever. Eaton Corporation and Charge Enterprises are stepping up to this challenge by delivering a comprehensive EV charging infrastructure designed specifically for fleet electrification. On the other hand, Eaton will offer its prowess in EV charging solutions, power distribution equipment, and energy storage systems. This includes supplying its renowned EV chargers and Charging Network Management software. Moreover, Eaton will provide the requisite expert services and innovative products to seamlessly integrate renewables and energy storage into EV charging applications, thereby ensuring a holistic approach towards sustainable transport infrastructure.
