FCA US LLC (Stellantis) PHEV Q1 2024 Total Sales Increase an Astounding 82% YoY

FCA US LLC — Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, which does business in North America as Stellantis — announced recently that total sales of its plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) in the first quarter of 2024 increased an astounding 82% year-over-year from 2023. This symbolizes the growing popularity of PHEVs in America as eco-friendly options.

According to S&P Global Mobility’s U.S. State Registrations database through Jan. 31, 2024, four of the top-five spots for best-selling hybrids in the U.S. were Stellantis hybrids Jeep Wrangler 4xe, Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, Dodge Hornet R/T and Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles had a remarkable Q1 2024, with the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid recording its best-ever Q1 total U.S. sales. Chrysler’s Q1 2024 total U.S. sales increased 9% year-over-year.

By the end of 2024, Stellantis is set to launch eight fully battery-electric vehicles in the U.S. market. These models include the Jeep Recon, Ram 1500 REV, Wagoneer S, Dodge Charger Daytona, and the Fiat 500e, recently named the “2024 Urban Green Car of the Year” by Green Car Journal.

In the first quarter of 2024, FCA US LLC reported total sales of 332,540 vehicles. Overall, in the first quarter of 2024, total U.S. sales declined 10% for Stellantis.

Jeep’s Electrifying EVs and Hybrids

The Jeep Wrangler 4xe is the first electrified Wrangler. As America’s best-selling PHEV, it had 19,090 sales in Q1. Its 2024 U.S. sales increased 33% year-over-year in Q1.

The Jeep brand’s fully electric, all-new Jeep Recon will debut in 2024. Jeep’s fully-electric all-new Wagoneer S will debut in Q2 of this year.
