The Highly Anticipated 2025 Chevy Bolt

The 2025 Chevrolet Bolt EV marks an exciting return as an affordable and redesigned electric vehicle (EV) that will be built on GM’s advanced battery platform, promising an impressive range of over 300 miles. Expected to be equipped with a powerful battery pack, the 2025 Bolt represents a significant upgrade from previous models, with its pouch-style battery cells offering higher energy density compared to traditional EV batteries. This enhancement is expected to boost the Bolt’s range well beyond the 259 miles achieved by the current generation.

The new Bolt EV is anticipated to reach the market in 2025, with an estimated starting price of around $27,800, making it a competitive option in the EV segment. GM may offer the 2025 Bolt in both hatchback and SUV versions to appeal to different consumer preferences. Additionally, the Bolt will feature GM’s advanced software platform, enhancing connectivity and personalization options for drivers.

As GM’s first all-electric vehicle, the original Bolt earned the title of 2017 MotorTrend Car of the Year and was widely recognized for its role in advancing EV accessibility. Although the model was briefly discontinued in favor of the Equinox EV for the 2024 model year, this upcoming redesign reflects GM’s continued commitment to providing high-quality, affordable EV options.

The Equinox EV is priced to appeal to a broad audience, with the base 1LT trim starting at an estimated MSRP of $30,000. The premium 2RS Launch Editions start at $48,995 for the front-wheel-drive model and $52,395 for the all-wheel-drive version, offering a range of options to suit different preferences and budgets.

The Powerful GM Energy PowerBank

GM Energy is expanding its energy solutions portfolio with the introduction of the GM Energy PowerBank, a stationary storage system designed to enhance energy resilience and flexibility for EV owners and households. Available in two battery capacities—10.6 kWh and 17.7 kWh—the PowerBank offers multiple key benefits, including the ability to store energy from the grid and solar power systems, provide backup power during outages, and reduce electricity costs by discharging energy during peak demand periods.

The PowerBank’s compatibility with solar equipment allows users to capture and store solar energy, which can later be used to charge EVs or power their homes, promoting energy independence and sustainability, These vehicle-to-home (V2H) chargers can redistribute power from an EV to a home. With this launch, GM Energy is setting a new standard in home energy storage, offering a robust and versatile solution that positions it ahead of many competitors in the home energy storage market.
