EV Nonprofit Veloz Awarded $43.5M Funding for Electric For All Program
On March 26, 2025, Veloz, a nonprofit organization dedicated to electric vehicle (EV) education, announced that it has secured a significant $43.5 million sponsorship from Electrify America, the largest open Hyper-Fast charging network in the U.S. This funding will be used to launch the Electric For All program, a nationwide initiative aimed at overcoming the misconceptions and unfamiliarity holding back millions of Americans from adopting electric vehicles.
As consumer demand for EVs continues to grow, with 1.3 million EVs sold in the U.S. in 2024 (a 7.3% year-over-year increase), it’s clear that the shift to electric is gaining momentum. However, challenges remain. Despite the growing desire to transition to electric, many Americans are still hindered by misinformation or a lack of understanding about electric vehicles. A recent poll by Veloz revealed that 47% of non-EV owners expressed interest in purchasing an EV, but many still lack the knowledge they need to make an informed decision.
“Driving an EV isn’t just a trend – it’s a more affordable, cleaner and exciting way to drive, and the time is now for a brand-neutral national campaign that will help consumers understand the benefits of going electric,” said Josh D. Boone, Veloz’s executive director. “We value Electrify America’s vision to educate consumers about going electric, overcome common barriers we see across the U.S., and capitalize on the growing desire for more information on making the switch.”

The funding will support a comprehensive educational campaign designed to educate consumers on the benefits of EV ownership and provide valuable resources to help them make the transition. One critical area of focus will be addressing the gap in consumer knowledge. For example, a surprising 61% of U.S. consumers don’t realize that they can easily plug in an EV at home using a standard 120-volt outlet, just like charging a cell phone.
Veloz, a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is no stranger to innovation in the EV education space. The nonprofit has already made strides in this area with its expanded ElectricForAll.org website, launched in 2024. The site serves as a one-stop resource for everything from EV shopping to finding local incentives. It includes tools for consumers to search for both new and used EVs, discover incentives available in their zip codes, and locate home and public charging options. With coverage in all 50 states and available in 15 languages, the website will play a crucial role in delivering the Electric For All message to diverse communities across the nation, including Justice40 communities that are underserved by the current EV ecosystem.
“Electrify America’s goal is to drive EV adoption for a more sustainable future with consumer education being a critical step to achieving mass adoption of EVs,” said Rachel Moses, senior director of sales, business development & marketing at Electrify America. “Our investment in Veloz’s Electric For All program will empower consumers with the information they need to make informed vehicle purchases.”
To support the campaign’s broad reach, Veloz has teamed up with national marketing experts, including The Shipyard, an Ohio-based full-service marketing firm, and Accent, a multicultural content agency. These organizations will help ensure that the Electric For All message resonates with diverse audiences, accelerating EV adoption across the U.S.
“This campaign partnership comes at an important time to continue building enthusiasm about the benefits of transportation electrification,” said Caroline Choi, executive vice president of public policy and corporate affairs at Edison International and Southern California Edison, and Veloz board chair. “We welcome participation from every sector of the EV industry to advance the significant opportunity that data show is available across the U.S.”
Veloz’s previous Electric For All campaigns have already made a significant impact in California, where new EV sales account for over 25% of the market share. A hilarious Veloz video for EV adoption, featuring Arnold Schwartzenegger, is shown below.
Now, the goal is to replicate this success on a national scale. The partnership with Electrify America and the support from state and local governments will ensure that EV incentives, educational resources, and consumer tools are available in every state, helping to fuel the nationwide momentum towards a cleaner, more sustainable transportation future.
“We have an incredible opportunity to reach the next generation of EV drivers with a campaign of this magnitude,” said Serena McIlwain, Secretary of the Maryland Department of the Environment. “States across the country are joining forces with incentives, infrastructure investments, and policy frameworks that make choosing zero-emissions products easier. The next step is bringing states together to make sure those interested in driving electric have the tools and information they need to make the best choice for themselves and their families. When people learn more, they love the technology, the convenience, the savings and the eco-friendliness of EVs.”
With millions of Americans ready to go electric but still in need of guidance and accurate information, the Electric For All program is a critical step in making EVs more accessible to all consumers — and driving the future of sustainable transportation forward.
