EVs Featured at Work Truck Week 2025 Ride & Drive

Get ready for an exciting opportunity to experience the latest in commercial vehicle technology at the Work Truck Week Ride & Drive. This unique event, part of Work Truck Week 2025, will take place in downtown Indianapolis on March 5–6, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It’s open to all attendees of Work Truck Week on a first-come, first-served basis, offering a hands-on chance to test drive a wide variety of vehicles equipped with cutting-edge fuel, propulsion, and technology solutions.

Work Truck Week 2025 runs from March 4–7 at the Indiana Convention Center, with a full schedule of events including the Green Truck Summit, The Work Truck Show, the NTEA Annual Meeting, and various educational programs. But the Ride & Drive event stands out, offering a quick and easy way to get up to speed on the most innovative tech available for commercial vehicles. Whether you’re a fleet manager or an industry professional, it’s a prime opportunity to explore how new vehicles and technologies can help improve efficiency, reduce emissions, and enhance overall performance.

At Ride & Drive, attendees will have the chance to test-drive or ride along in 21 different vehicles across Classes 2–8. These vehicles include both all-electric models and internal combustion-powered vehicles with advanced technologies designed to improve fuel efficiency and reduce environmental impact.

Some of the highlights include electric vans, trucks, and chassis, such as the fully electric Battle Motors City Tractor, the Blue Arc Class 4 truck for high-frequency last-mile delivery, and the Isuzu NRR EV Class 5 low-cab-forward battery electric truck. Additionally, you’ll find vehicles with advanced transmission systems, like the Allison 9-speed fully automatic transmission and the Allison Regional Haul Series automatic transmission.

The event is particularly beneficial for those in the fleet management sector, offering a chance to see a wide range of vehicles in one place without having to arrange individual test drives with different manufacturers. NTEA has done the legwork by coordinating with subject matter experts and 20 participating companies to bring their latest models and innovations to the event.

Among the vehicles you can expect to see are the Ford Pro F-150 Lightning Pro electric pickup, the Mercedes-Benz USA fully electric eSprinter van, the Mack MD6 and MD7 medium-duty trucks, and the Rivian Commercial full-size van. Each vehicle will have a representative on hand to provide detailed information and answer questions.

Alongside the vehicles, attendees can visit static displays like the Concord Road Equipment single-axle Class 7 truck. Allison Transmission, the sponsor of Ride & Drive, will also have their Allison Experience trailer, providing demonstrations of their fully automatic transmissions and eGen Power e-Axles.

The event’s charging support is being provided by EnviroCharge, ensuring that all the electric vehicles are powered up and ready to go.
