Blink Charging and Create Energy Launch Industry-First Turnkey Energy Storage Solution
EV charging industry leader Blink Charging Co. made an momentous announcement on April 29, 2025. The company released information that it has partnered with Create Energy to launch a revolutionary, fully integrated system that combines energy storage, on-site generation, and EV charging—all in one scalable, turnkey solution.
This collaboration marks a major leap forward for sustainable transportation. By uniting Blink’s state-of-the-art L2 and DC fast chargers with Create Energy’s field-proven Nanogrid technology, the new system delivers unmatched performance and flexibility. It’s designed to cut operating costs, eliminate demand charges, and manage peak energy demand—all while offering grid resiliency on demand.
“This collaboration is about redefining what’s possible in EV infrastructure,” said Mike Battaglia, CEO and President of Blink Charging. “By incorporating Create Energy’s Nanogrid systems into our EV charging portfolio and business models, we’re providing a fully integrated approach to energy and charging that improves performance, enhances resiliency, and enables faster, more cost-efficient deployment. The collaboration is a dual market agreement, allowing both companies to sell this solution to our respective markets.”
One of the most transformative aspects of the Blink and Create Energy partnership is how it addresses the biggest pain points in EV infrastructure deployment: grid constraints, permitting delays, and the need for costly utility upgrades. With this solution, those barriers are removed, making EV charging viable in places previously considered out of reach.
Every Blink DC fast charging installation now has the option to include Create Energy’s Nanogrid system, and all Nanogrid deployments can feature Blink chargers—creating a streamlined, deployable package that’s easy to scale across a wide range of applications and environments.
“We’re thrilled to supercharge our Create Energy solutions by joining forces with Blink Charging’s top-notch EV hardware and software,” said Dean Solon, Founder and CEO of Create Energy. “Together, we’re not just building a one-stop-shop ecosystem—we’re adding serious muscle to our growing ‘un-evil empire’ of innovation! This powerhouse collaboration puts groundbreaking Nanogrid technology at Blink customers’ fingertips, paving the way for enhanced resilience and a brighter energy future. Let’s Create change!”
Create Energy’s technology isn’t just innovative—it’s already battle-tested. A solar-powered Nanogrid installation at Nissan North America’s headquarters has been running continuously since launch, demonstrating the system’s reliability in the field. That same dependable technology is now being rolled out to Blink’s customer base, delivering immediate value and long-term performance.
With the rollout starting in the U.S. and expansion plans already in place for all Blink global markets, the partnership is poised to help Blink compete for major international infrastructure opportunities—including the UK’s Low Emission Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) program, where reducing grid impact is key to project success.
By offering a smart, resilient, and cost-effective energy + charging solution, Blink and Create Energy are charting a new course for EV infrastructure. Together, they’re not just powering electric vehicles—they’re building the flexible, future-ready energy ecosystems our world needs.
