EV Charging Stations to Feature High-Tech, Solar-Powered Installations

The new OnPoint EV Solutions DC Super-Fast Level 3 charging stations will include state-of-the-art technology, ensuring that EV drivers can recharge quickly and conveniently. Each station will feature a solar canopy, high-speed internet, security cameras, and digital kiosks integrated with both Jacksons Food Stores and OnPoint’s mobile app. These modern amenities will provide a seamless experience for users, making charging more than just a quick pit stop—it will be a connected, secure, and efficient part of the journey.

The stations will be located at several key Jacksons Food Stores locations across Idaho, California, and Washington, strategically placed along major travel routes to serve a large number of EV drivers. These include:

Fast, Efficient Charging with Solar Power and Advanced Features

Thanks to OnPoint’s partnership with Uptime EV Charger (UEC), a national EV charging company based in Michigan, Influent Energy, a leading solar energy provider from Kansas City, and Argent Associates, a digital kiosk and network company from Plano, TX, these stations will offer cutting-edge charging technology. The stations will be equipped with BTC Power chargers manufactured in the USA, capable of delivering up to 360kW for a single car, and a minimum of 180kW when both dispensers are in use.

UEC as the contracted EPC firm has selected top tier vendors for these deployments:

Influent-Solar
Income Power-Construction
BTC-Charger choice
Brightmerge-Software design
UEC-O&M
Oldcastle’s-precast design
3v3i-electrical design

With a charging time of just 20-30 minutes to recharge from 20% to 80% capacity (depending on the vehicle’s charge acceptance rate), these fast chargers will provide a much-needed solution to long-range EV drivers. In addition, the stations will accept a variety of payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

The charging stations will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and will be competitively priced, with a guarantee of reliable uptime, ensuring that EV drivers can count on the stations when they need them most.

The first nine Jacksons OnPoint EV Charging sites are set to go live in the summer of 2025, with many more locations planned for late 2025 and into 2026. As the demand for EV charging continues to grow, Jacksons Food Stores and OnPoint EV Solutions are committed to expanding their network of fast-charging stations, supporting the transition to electric vehicles and contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable future for the communities they serve.

This innovative partnership marks a significant milestone in the drive toward sustainable transportation and demonstrates Jacksons Food Stores’ continued commitment to meeting the needs of today’s evolving consumer.
