Acura Provides ZDX EV Fleet to The Nature Conservancy to Support Vital Conservation Work
On July 28, 2025, Acura announced its largest-ever vehicle donation, providing 75 of its all-electric ZDX performance SUVs to The Nature Conservancy (TNC) to support the nonprofit’s critical conservation work across the U.S. The ZDX, one of the best-selling premium EVs in America this year, will help TNC advance its mission while transitioning to a cleaner, lower-emission fleet.
In addition to the vehicle donation, the Honda family of companies – including Acura – is contributing $1 million to support the buildout of EV charging infrastructure and help cover operational costs associated with the fleet. This initiative reflects Acura and Honda’s shared commitment to environmental stewardship and further strengthens a collaboration with TNC that spans more than three decades.
“We’re proud to partner with The Nature Conservancy and Acura dealers across America to help advance sustainability by contributing to a lower-emissions future,” said Mike Langel, assistant vice president of Acura National Sales. “The Acura ZDX fleet will support The Nature Conservancy’s important fieldwork, enabling more efficient travel to conservation sites while reducing the environmental impact of transportation.”

“We are incredibly grateful to Acura for this donation,” said Daniel Salzer, Director of Sustainability for The Nature Conservancy. “The donation of these vehicles has significantly accelerated our efforts to electrify our fleet, reducing our carbon footprint, and setting a powerful example of climate leadership.”
The Acura ZDX SUVs will be delivered through Acura dealerships nationwide to TNC field teams working in remote, rural, and ecologically sensitive areas. These EVs will enable staff to perform on-the-ground conservation, community engagement, and research with minimal environmental impact thanks to the ZDX’s 313-mile EPA range rating and zero tailpipe emissions.
The longstanding relationship between Honda and TNC began in Ohio over 30 years ago with a joint effort to protect the Big Darby Creek watershed. Since then, Honda has donated more than $1 million and 90 acres of land to support local TNC chapters and safeguard critical ecosystems in states including California, Alabama, and Indiana.
This new donation builds on previous support, such as Honda and the Honda USA Foundation’s $625,000 contribution in 2023 to fund TNC programs across 10 states. Together, Acura and TNC are showing how powerful public-private partnerships can drive real, measurable progress toward a healthier planet.
