Rivian Announces New Miami Space, Custom-Designed Rivian Tri-Motor R1S

Rivian is expanding its presence in Southeast Florida with the opening of a second space in the Miami area, located at Mary Brickell Village. The 4,000-square-foot destination offers visitors the chance to explore Rivian vehicles, connect with the local team, and experience how the company’s physical spaces share the Rivian story. Designed with natural materials and furnishings in calming green and blue tones, the space reflects Miami’s blend of coastal beauty and urban vibrancy, creating an atmosphere that feels warm, welcoming, and rooted in the community.

To celebrate the grand opening, Rivian is showcasing an exclusive, custom-designed Tri-Motor R1S that pays tribute to Miami’s influential design heritage. Inspired by the city’s bold style and energy, the vehicle embraces a distinctly 1980s aesthetic with a teal and pink color palette, complemented by details such as a blue side stripe, pink tow hooks, and headrest inserts. These design choices highlight Miami’s Art Deco legacy while evoking nostalgia for the pop culture of the era.

This is not Rivian’s first time drawing from the creative spirit of the 1980s. In 2023, the company unveiled limited-edition Car Costumes for Halloween, with Rivian vehicles playfully reimagined as icons from Knight Rider and Back to the Future. The Brickell debut continues that tradition of blending exploration, joy, and storytelling through design—whether in vehicles, color experimentation, or immersive spaces that bring people closer to Rivian’s vision.

The new Brickell location is just the beginning. Rivian has hinted at more to come, including a return to Miami during Art Basel later this year, where creativity and color will once again take center stage.

The Rivian Brickell space is located at 900 S Miami Ave, Ste. 152. Visitors can stop by to see the custom Tri-Motor R1S and learn more about upcoming events, or visit Rivian’s website to sign up for updates on future activations.
