The 2025 LA Auto Show’s Zero-Emission Vehicle Award Showcase, the ZEVAS, Opens Voting October 1
Voting will open October 1 for the 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show® Zero-Emission Vehicle Award Showcase, The ZEVAS™, a people’s choice award program that celebrates the vehicles shaping the clean mobility revolution. The ZEVAS return this year as a highlight of the LA Auto Show, reinforcing the event’s reputation as a destination where consumers and industry leaders connect to explore the future of driving. Along with The ZEVAS, the Hispanic Motor Press will reveal the Best Vehicles of 2025 for Hispanic families, while the North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle of the Year (NACTOY) jury will announce its 2026 finalists.
Every auto show nowadays seems to be an EV show, with little interest in gas-powered vehicles.
Also featured at this year’s show will be the Automotive Hall of Fame’s Distinguished Service recognition, plus the new Angel Custom Car Award presented by No No Seat Covers, which lets fans vote onsite for standout builds, with the winner crowned Sunday, November 23.
Launched in 2021, The ZEVAS highlight the innovation and customer-focused design that influence today’s car buyers. Zero-emission vehicles have long been part of the LA Auto Show; its first exhibition in 1907 even displayed two electric cars. Past winners include the Rivian R1S, Hyundai IONIQ 5, Lucid Air, Ford F-150 Lightning, Ferrari SF90 Stradale, and Hyundai Kona Electric.

Voting happens exclusively online at thezevas.com, where thousands of shoppers, influencers, and enthusiasts worldwide can cast ballots. Eligible entries include 2025 production vehicles and “Most Anticipated” pre-production or concept models. Last year’s contest drew more than 130 qualified vehicles across categories.
For 2025, categories include Top Compact/Coupe, Top Crossover/Van, Top Hybrid, Top Sedan, Top SUV, Top Truck, and Most Anticipated. AutoMobility LA and the LA Auto Show will also debut a new program honoring leading automotive creators, with details to follow.
Founded in 1907, the Los Angeles Auto Show® remains one of the world’s most influential car events, held annually at the LA Convention Center. Running November 21–30, 2025, it delivers ten days of exhibits, test drives, and culture, including Thanksgiving Day. AutoMobility LA®, the media and industry day, takes place November 20 with debuts, brand announcements, and thought leadership programming.
