Chargenet Stations is Installing EV Charging For Quick Service Restaurants

EVinfo.net visited a local construction site at a Jack in the Box restaurant in our home county of San Diego, California recently to check progress on an EV charging installation by ChargeNet Stations. The company specializes in EV charging for quick service restaurants, and is headquartered in Long Beach, California. The restaurant is located at 1471 N Santa Fe Ave, Vista, CA 92084. 

Motive Energy is a partner of ChargeNet on the project. We spoke with Jeffrey Rome, AIA, Executive Vice President of EV Charging Solutions at Motive Energy. Rome confirmed that Motive is developing the next five California sites for ChargeNet, which will be located in Orange, Vista (two locations), Colton, and Fresno.

By 2040, an estimated 64 million electric vehicles will be on U.S. roads, yet only a fraction of the charging infrastructure required to support them has been built. Today, less than five percent of the necessary stations exist, with an even greater shortage of fast chargers and clean energy infrastructure to power them.
