Range Rover Confirms Its Upcoming Second EV, Range Rover Sport Electric

On July 16, 2026, Range Rover officially confirmed the upcoming launch of its second all-electric vehicle, the Range Rover Sport Electric, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of the luxury performance SUV brand.

Following the debut of the highly anticipated Range Rover Electric, which has been showcased at exclusive events throughout the British Summer Season, the new Range Rover Sport Electric is set to enter the market later this year. The vehicle retains the bold, athletic styling that has defined the Range Rover Sport while introducing a fully electric powertrain designed to deliver powerful, responsive performance.

The Range Rover Sport Electric made a private appearance during the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the United Kingdom. Celebrating the model’s history of tackling demanding challenges, including the famous 999-step ascent to Heaven’s Gate in China and the climb of an Icelandic spillway, the electric SUV demonstrated its capabilities through a series of dynamic driving exercises on the Goodwood Motor Circuit.

The new model combines advanced electric propulsion with a range of innovative technologies that enhance power delivery, torque, and driving dynamics. A specially developed chassis setup and immersive sound design have been engineered to create a distinctive driving experience on both paved roads and challenging terrain. Range Rover says the vehicle has been tuned to preserve the engaging character that has made the Sport the performance-focused member of the Range Rover family.

With the introduction of the Sport Electric, Range Rover will complete the powertrain lineup for the model range. Customers will be able to choose from fully electric, plug-in hybrid, mild-hybrid V8 gasoline, and six-cylinder gasoline and diesel options, providing a broad selection to suit varying preferences and driving requirements.
