Autel Energy Opens New Fremont Experience Center, Expands EV Charging Partnerships

Autel Energy opened its new North American Experience Center in Fremont, California, strengthening its presence in the U.S. EV charging market while creating a new destination for customers, partners and industry stakeholders. EVinfo.net first reported on the event on September 2, 2026.

The September 22 ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together representatives from the EV industry, government, transportation and Autel Energy’s partner network. The new Silicon Valley facility also served as the starting point for Autel Energy’s 2026 North American Partner Summit, held September 23–24.

The two-day summit brought together charging industry professionals from distributors, resellers, charging network operators, technology companies, fleets and other organizations involved in deploying EV infrastructure.

Autel Energy also announced a new partnership with Modal, a provider of modular, fully managed amenity pods designed specifically for EV charging locations. The partnership is intended to help Autel Energy customers and partners create charging destinations that combine high-power EV charging with amenities focused on the driver experience.

Michelle Luo, CEO of Autel Energy North America, said the Fremont facility represents the company’s continued commitment to customers, partners and the development of the next generation of charging infrastructure in North America.

A New Center For EV Charging Demonstration And Training

Located within the Bay Area’s technology and transportation ecosystem, the Fremont Experience Center is designed as a hands-on destination where customers, partners, fleets and other industry stakeholders can experience Autel Energy’s charging technologies.

The facility showcases Autel Energy’s AC and DC charging portfolio and provides space for live charging demonstrations, interoperability testing, technical training and collaboration with partners. It also includes a service hub with ready-to-ship parts in stock.

The September 22 opening featured remarks from Autel Energy executives and invited guests, including California Assemblymember Alex Lee, California Energy Commissioner Nancy Skinner, Wendy Wilson of Catalyst Mobility and Mike Murphy of EVs for All America.

Commercial vehicles from Isuzu, Harbinger and Blue Bird were also featured at the opening, highlighting the expanding range of vehicles and applications being supported by modern EV charging infrastructure.

Shane Long, President of Autel Energy North America, said the Fremont location gives the company an opportunity to bring different parts of the charging ecosystem together under one roof. Customers can see charging equipment operating, partners can work directly with Autel Energy teams and vehicle manufacturers can demonstrate real-world charging applications.

The Duo reported on their EV industry road trip, which included plenty of stops, conversations, filming and new experiences, starting with Autel Energy North America’s ribbon cutting for its new Experience Center. The team toured and filmed the new facility, checked out Modal’s pod, and Patrick spoke with industry attendees about the EV driver’s perspective.

They also filmed with TELO Trucks and Jason Marks at what turned out to be the most scenic filming location of the trip, along with Pila.

The team covered the big Smart Charge Bundle announcement from Pacific Gas and Electric Company, GM Energy and WeaveGrid at the PG&E Power House. The Duo gave a special shout-out to Dario Pagani, VP Marketing and Communications at Autel, for putting on a successful Autel summit and for allowing the Duo kick off its return road trip by charging their LYRIQ right there in the Experience Center. The Duo’s adventure continues, with plenty of videos and content still to come.
