Lucid Partners With Emil Frey France Ahead of French Market Launch
Lucid Group is preparing to enter the French automotive market through a new operational partnership with Emil Frey France, one of Europe’s leading automotive groups. The collaboration combines Lucid’s direct market presence with Emil Frey France’s automotive and importer expertise as the electric vehicle manufacturer prepares to introduce its vehicles to French customers.
The partnership represents another step in Lucid’s broader European expansion strategy and comes ahead of the company’s public debut at the Paris Motor Show, also known as Mondial de l’Auto, in October 2026. French customers will have their first opportunity to experience Lucid vehicles at the show, which will take place from October 12 through October 18, 2026, at Porte de Versailles in Paris.
Under the agreement, Lucid will maintain responsibility for its brand, commercial strategy and customer experience through its own import organization. Emil Frey France’s Import Division will provide customized operational services supporting the customer experience across multiple functions. The arrangement is intended to give Lucid an efficient and scalable foundation for its French market launch.

The French launch will introduce Lucid’s current electric vehicle lineup, including the Lucid Air sedan and Lucid Gravity SUV. Lucid describes both vehicles as award-winning models and plans to use the partnership to establish a strong operational foundation as it expands its presence in France.
“France is one of Europe’s most important automotive markets and represents a key pillar of Lucid’s expansion strategy,” said Lawrence Hamilton, President of Europe at Lucid. He said the partnership combines Lucid’s vehicle and technology expertise with Emil Frey’s operational capabilities and customer support as the company builds its presence in the country.
Pierre Guignot, General Manager of the Emil Frey France Import Division, said the company is pleased to partner with Lucid and described Emil Frey’s role as a bespoke service partnership. The company will provide flexible operational services tailored to Lucid’s requirements as the automaker establishes its French operations.
Lucid Group is a technology company focused on developing electric mobility products based on its proprietary technology and software-defined vehicle architectures. The company designs and engineers its products in-house and manufactures vehicles at vertically integrated facilities in Arizona and Saudi Arabia. Its lineup is positioned in the premium automotive market under its “Compromise Nothing” approach.
Emil Frey France operates across several areas of the automotive industry, including vehicle retail, industrial vehicles, agricultural machinery, spare-parts distribution and manufacturing, and used-vehicle reconditioning. The company is the official French importer for Mitsubishi Motors and Subaru. In 2025, Emil Frey France sold more than 193,170 new and used vehicles, generated €4.7 billion in consolidated revenue under IFRS and employed more than 10,000 people.
The partnership gives Lucid an established operational partner as it enters one of Europe’s major automotive markets, while allowing the automaker to retain direct control over its brand and commercial strategy. The upcoming Paris Motor Show will mark the first public opportunity for French consumers to see Lucid’s vehicles as part of the company’s official market introduction.
The Lucid Air is listed with a WLTP combined range of up to 960 kilometers, while the Lucid Gravity offers a combined WLTP range of up to 739 kilometers, depending on configuration. Both models are listed with zero grams of CO₂ emissions per kilometer under the stated testing figures.
