VinFast Expands Dealer Network, Reinforcing Long-Term Commitment to the U.S. Market
VinFast announced on September 17, 2026, the latest step in its North American growth strategy, focused on expanding its sales and service network. The company says the expansion marks an important milestone in strengthening the foundation for long-term growth while reaffirming its commitment to providing U.S. customers with quality vehicles, inclusive pricing and comprehensive aftersales policies.
VinFast has finalized franchise agreements for three strategic dealerships that will provide sales and service support in Redondo Beach and Tustin, California, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At the same time, the company continues to identify, evaluate and engage with potential partners in additional locations across the United States.
The three new dealerships are scheduled to begin operations in September. They will provide comprehensive maintenance services in accordance with VinFast’s global standards, along with warranty support and aftersales services. Customers will also have the opportunity to explore VinFast’s electric SUV lineup, receive expert consultation and learn more about the company’s two electric SUV models, the VF 8 and VF 9, directly at the dealerships.

The VF 8 is a D-segment electric SUV, while the VF 9 is an E-segment electric SUV. By expanding its sales and service network, VinFast is increasing local access to both vehicles and the support services associated with ownership.
As VinFast enters its next phase of growth, the company says it continues to place customers at the center of its strategy, with an emphasis on investing in and expanding service capabilities in key markets. Through these efforts, existing owners and prospective customers will have greater access to VinFast’s sales, maintenance, warranty and aftersales support within their local communities.
The continued expansion of VinFast’s sales and service network is intended to enhance the customer experience, provide greater convenience throughout the ownership journey and help optimize total cost of ownership.
“Our vision is clear: VinFast is continuing to build for the next phase of growth by investing in the customer experience, strengthening our team, continuously enhancing our products, policies, and sales and service network,” said Brian Finnerty, CEO of VinFast North America. “These new dealerships will ensure customers can access comprehensive sales, maintenance, and warranty support right in their local communities. This is more than an expansion of our network. It is a long-term commitment by VinFast to the U.S. market as we enter our next chapter of growth.”
Alongside the expansion of its sales and service network, VinFast continues to strengthen its Certified Pre-Owned, or CPO, program. The program gives customers in the United States greater access to high-quality EVs at attractive prices, backed by rigorous inspection standards and what the company describes as “America’s Best Electric Vehicle” factory warranty coverage of up to 10 years.
VinFast says the CPO program provides another pathway for customers interested in EV ownership while combining used-vehicle availability with factory-backed warranty coverage.
Together with an increasingly diverse and accessible product lineup, VinFast remains committed to its mission of making electric vehicles more accessible to everyone. The company says its efforts are intended to help customers transition to sustainable transportation with greater ease and confidence.
Across North America, VinFast’s continued expansion of its sales and service network and CPO program is being pursued alongside the company’s broader goal of building a comprehensive, customer-focused ecosystem.
The company says these efforts demonstrate its long-term commitment to putting customers at the center of its business, delivering high-quality products and services, and providing a more convenient and reliable electric vehicle ownership experience.

EVinfo.net’s Take: Vinfast Beginning to Recover in U.S. Market After Federal Mistakes
VinFast is seeing strong EV demand in its home market of Vietnam while continuing to face challenges in the United States. In July 2026, the company delivered 21,781 EVs in Vietnam, up 21% from June, bringing its first-seven-month total to 137,697. The VF 3 was the top-selling model in July, while the Limo Green led sales for the first seven months. VinFast also received about 28,700 VF 2 reservations within three days of opening pre-orders.
The U.S. picture is substantially different. VinFast does not separately report U.S. deliveries, but international markets outside Vietnam, including the U.S., represented only about 8% of global deliveries in early 2026. The company has faced declining U.S. sales, dealership closures, limited inventory and uncertainty surrounding reckless tariffs and foolish current US government EV policy. Its original goal of 125 U.S. dealers by the end of 2024 fell well short, with about 22 dealers entering 2026. Plans for U.S. manufacturing have also been postponed.
The contrast highlights VinFast’s strong domestic momentum while its U.S. business remains in a development and restructuring phase, as it waits out the current administration, hoping like we all are for a vastly better one.
