Green Water & Power Announces Its 10,000th EV Charger in Only 3 Years
Green Water & Power (GWP) and Autel Energy North America have reached a major EV charging milestone, deploying and energizing their 10,000th electric vehicle charging port nationwide. The milestone was achieved in just three years, highlighting the rapid pace at which the companies have expanded EV charging infrastructure across the country.
GWP and its hardware partner, Autel Energy, began deploying Level 2 chargers together nationwide in 2023. Earlier this month, the companies brought their 10,000th charger online. Reaching that number in three years means the companies have averaged nearly 10 chargers going into service every day, including weekends and holidays.
“From the outset, we designed our charging hardware and supporting software to deliver reliability and flexibility at scale,” said Michelle Luo, CEO of Autel Energy. “GWP has demonstrated what that looks like in practice by consistently exceeding industry benchmarks across their entire network. This partnership shows how dependable technology and strong execution can accelerate EV adoption nationwide.”

GWP is already preparing for its next phase of expansion. The company is currently contracted to install more than 3,000 additional Level 2 chargers and more than 100 DC fast chargers in the coming months. Other projects are also in various stages of development.
While the 10,000-charger milestone demonstrates the speed of deployment, GWP emphasizes that installation numbers mean little if the chargers are not reliable. Danny Gold, President of Green Water & Power, said property owners and drivers ultimately care about whether the charger in front of them works when they need it.
“That reliability is what’s made Autel Energy a great partner for us since day one, and it’s what let us scale into every vertical our customers operate in, from hotels and apartments to schools and hospitals,” Gold said. “We’re just getting started.”

GWP says its network has delivered a combined 16.6 million kWh of electricity to EVs to date while maintaining an average uptime of 99.72%. The company also says its charging network has displaced more than 22,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions.
The combination of rapid deployment and high reported uptime illustrates the challenge facing EV charging operators: building more infrastructure is only part of the job. Chargers also need to remain available and functional for drivers, property owners and businesses across the many locations where EV charging is being deployed.
