LAZ And indiGOtech Partner To Expand EV Charging For Apartments And Condos

On October 20, 2026, LAZ Parking and EverCharge, a wholly owned subsidiary of indiGOtech (GO), announced forming a joint venture to expand electric vehicle (EV) charging for apartment and condominium residents across North America. The partnership introduces LAZ Multifamily EV Charging Powered by EverCharge SmartPower™, combining LAZ’s extensive parking network with EverCharge’s intelligent charging and energy-management technology.

The joint venture expands LAZ’s EV charging network to 25,000 ports across North America and establishes a foundation for broader collaboration on sustainable local transportation.

Smart Charging For Multifamily Properties

LAZ operates approximately 2.1 million parking spaces across 5,700 locations in 639 cities throughout the United States and Canada. EverCharge brings more than a decade of EV charging experience, patented technology, and over 10,000 installed charging ports at more than 1,000 multifamily residential sites, serving over 50,000 registered drivers.

Apartment and condominium residents often face barriers to home charging because of limited electrical capacity, shared parking infrastructure, installation complexity, and costly utility upgrades. Unlike residents of single-family homes, they may not have the option of installing a dedicated charger.

EverCharge’s patented SmartPower™ dynamic load-management technology addresses these challenges by intelligently distributing available electrical power among multiple vehicles. According to the companies, the system can support up to five times as many charging ports using the same power supply, helping property owners expand charging access without major electrical upgrades.

The offering also includes EverCharge EVO3 Level 2 chargers, which the company says feature an industry-leading operating temperature rating of 55 degrees Celsius. Combined with LAZ’s parking-management expertise and relationships with property owners and operators, the service is designed to provide a scalable, turnkey charging solution for multifamily properties.

Building A Broader Sustainable Transportation Network

Multifamily charging is the first phase of the relationship. GO is developing an integrated transportation ecosystem connecting energy infrastructure, vehicles, and intelligent transportation management. EverCharge provides SmartPower™ charging technology, while GO’s patented SmartWheels™ technology supports roomier, smoother electric and autonomous vehicles. GO Loop provides transportation and fleet-management services that connect vehicles, charging infrastructure, riders, drivers, and transportation demand.

LAZ Chairman and CEO Alan Lazowski said the partnership expands the company’s charging network to 25,000 ports and creates opportunities to explore how its parking locations can support the growth of electric and autonomous vehicles.

EverCharge CEO John Lin described multifamily charging as a major infrastructure opportunity in the transition to electric transportation, emphasizing the partnership’s potential to bring intelligent charging to more properties and drivers.

GO Chairman Will Graylin said the collaboration aims to connect real estate, energy, vehicles, and intelligent transportation management to create a more sustainable and efficient urban transportation ecosystem.

As transportation becomes increasingly electric, connected, and software-managed, the companies plan to explore additional charging and battery-swapping infrastructure for commercial fleets, ride-hailing services, and delivery operations.
