The Battery Show and Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo North America, Detroit, Michigan, October 12-15 2026
The Battery Show and Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo North America will next take place at Huntington Place in Detroit, Michigan, from October 12-15, bringing the industry together once again to showcase the latest advancements in battery and EV technology.
The Battery Show Europe and Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo Europe returned to Messe Stuttgart from June 9-11, 2026, bringing together battery manufacturers, automakers, suppliers, policymakers, and technology leaders from across the global electrification industry. The event highlighted the rapid evolution of battery technology, energy storage, and electric mobility while providing attendees with access to the latest innovations, expert insights, and valuable networking opportunities.
The gathering comes at a critical time for Europe’s EV industry. Countries across the European Economic Area and Switzerland have committed nearly €200 billion to support electric vehicle development and manufacturing. However, the sector also faces challenges as several nations have reduced or delayed consumer EV incentives, creating uncertainty about the pace of future adoption.

A major attraction of the event was its keynote program, which featured nine presentations from industry leaders and policymakers. Speakers explored topics ranging from battery innovation and energy security to regulatory developments and future mobility trends. Discussions included preparations for the European Union’s Battery Passport initiative, scheduled to launch in 2027, as well as the growing role of advanced battery technologies, artificial intelligence, and integrated energy ecosystems in supporting transportation, communications, and national infrastructure.
Attendees also benefited from a comprehensive conference program spanning three dedicated tracks. Sessions addressed technical developments, manufacturing strategies, market dynamics, and regulatory challenges, providing participants with practical insights into competing in the rapidly evolving global battery market. Co-location with the Energy Storage Summit Conference further expanded opportunities to explore stationary energy storage applications and emerging technology trends.
Networking remained a central focus of the event. New interactive spaces encouraged collaboration and business development throughout the exhibition. The Halftime Hub, a soccer-themed networking zone, hosted coffee sessions, interactive activities, and evening receptions designed to foster connections across the battery and EV supply chain. Meanwhile, specialized “Area of Interest” cafés helped attendees connect with exhibitors focused on energy systems, components, manufacturing, engineering, software, and research and development.
Event organizers emphasized the importance of collaboration as Europe accelerates its transition toward electrification and sustainable energy storage. With growing demand for batteries, expanding manufacturing capacity, and increasing competition from global markets, industry stakeholders gathered in Stuttgart to address the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of transportation and energy.
