EV Roadway Opens Flagship EV Charging Hub in Novato, CA
EV Roadway announced the opening of its flagship EV charging hub at the Vintage Oaks Shopping Center in Novato, California, marking a major milestone in the company’s expansion across Northern California.
Located in the heart of Marin County, the Vintage Oaks site offers direct access to both Highway 101 and Highway 37, making it a highly convenient charging destination for regional commuters and local shoppers. The charging hub is designed to serve one of the nation’s highest EV adoption regions while integrating seamlessly into a popular retail environment.
The Vintage Oaks Shopping Center is home to major national retailers including Nordstrom Rack, Costco, and Target, allowing drivers to charge their vehicles while completing everyday shopping. EV Roadway developed the site as a state-of-the-art, community-focused charging hub that supports both public and commercial EV users.
The installation includes a mix of Level 2 and DC fast chargers. The site features full lighting, and smart design elements focused on safety, comfort, and reliability. The charging system is supported by renewable energy sources and smart-grid integration, aligning with local sustainability goals.
Drivers can power up fast with ultra-fast 400kW DC chargers from Autel Energy – North America for quick highway stops, or charge up with 160kW ChargePoint chargers, perfect for drivers staying longer, charging while they shop, dine, and spend time at Vintage Oaks.
Based on projected performance metrics, the Vintage Oaks hub is expected to deliver approximately 360 charging sessions per month, with an average session length of 47 minutes. Monthly energy dispensed is estimated at 17.54 MWh, resulting in greenhouse gas savings of nearly 4,000 kilograms over a 30-day period.

“EV Roadway’s commitment to quality, community partnership, and driver experience aligns closely with how we design our charging solutions,” said Michelle Luo, Autel Energy North America’s CEO.
“We’re proud to support EV Roadway’s work at Vintage Oaks with technology that enables fast, reliable charging today and long into the future,” said Dario Pagani, VP Marketing and Communications, Autel Energy.
Beyond charging, the project is expected to generate economic benefits for surrounding businesses by increasing foot traffic and dwell time. EV Roadway also highlights partnership and investment opportunities tied to long-term growth in EV infrastructure, reinforcing the site’s role as both a transportation asset and a commercial catalyst.
With the Vintage Oaks launch, EV Roadway positions the Novato charging hub as more than a stop for power, but as a destination that reflects the future of clean, accessible, and community-oriented EV infrastructure.

EV Roadway’s Innovative In-House Development Model
What truly differentiates EV Roadway is its fully integrated, in-house development model. The Vintage Oaks project was designed, engineered, permitted, and constructed entirely by the EV Roadway team, without reliance on third-party developers or subcontractors.
The company financed and delivered the site using its own balance sheet and internal resources, maintaining complete control over cost, quality, and execution timelines. This vertically integrated approach enabled EV Roadway to bring the project to market faster and deliver a 12-port DC fast-charging hub at a significantly lower cost than typical industry benchmarks, without sacrificing performance or design quality.
Vintage Oaks reflects the EV Roadway operating philosophy in practice: design, fund, build, and operate premium fast-charging infrastructure in locations drivers already frequent. Each site is owned, operated, and maintained directly by EV Roadway, ensuring a consistent, reliable, and high-quality charging experience across the network.
This deployment represents only the first phase of a broader expansion strategy. Dozens of additional sites are currently under construction using the same vertically integrated model, establishing a repeatable blueprint for scalable growth.
As EV Roadway continues to expand, the company remains focused on strengthening local partnerships, scaling deliberately, and building a nationwide network of dependable, premium fast-charging destinations that meet the needs of today’s EV drivers and tomorrow’s market.
