Alive & Well TV Makes Earth Month Electric: EVinfo.net Interviews Host and Producer of the Show, Michelle Harris
Alive & Well is carving out a distinct space in the wellness media landscape by focusing on what sustainable, real-world well-being actually looks like. Hosted and produced by Michelle Harris, the series moves beyond surface-level health trends and instead explores how individuals can build balanced, fulfilling lives across physical, mental, and emotional dimensions. Harris is also an advocate of electric vehicles and renewable energy.
Michelle Harris said: “For our lifestyle television series, Alive & Well, every day is Earth Day. A big part of the show’s sustainable home content revolves around renewable energy. What is better to complete the cycle than EVs.”

EVinfo.net Interviews Michelle Harris, Host and Producer of Alive & Well
EVinfo.net had the great honor of interviewing the host and producer of the show, Michelle Harris, about why electric vehicles (EVs) and clean energy are important to her and the show.
Bill Pierce:
Alive & Well has always included sustainability as part of the show. Why is this important to you?
Michelle Harris:
Our show has always known that you can’t separate our health and the health of our planet. Pollution is a huge issue and is linked to everything from respiratory health issues to our heart health, brain health and cancer. Just as one example, there is an uptick in lung cancer among non-smokers and that is linked to particulates from our polluted air. This has never been more important!
Bill Pierce:
What are some of your favorite EVs?
Michelle Harris: I am a huge car person; after all I am a Californian! It’s in our blood! There are so many incredible EV’s to choose from but the Hyundai Kona is affordable and cute! On the higher end side, Lucid and Karma have great design. New EVs from BMW, Cadillac and Porsche are tons of fun!
Bill Pierce:
How do you feel about the future of EVs?
Michelle Harris: I think everyone knows that EVs are our future! The entire world is learning an important economic lesson about the need for EVs and solar energy. We can no longer be dependent on fossil fuels. One of the great things about EVs is that they cost less to use than internal combustion vehicles. If you have a charger at home and combine it with solar and storage, that amount is almost free.
It’s great for consumers and the economy!
Bill Pierce:
How does renewable energy fit in with your show?
Michelle Harris:
We cover sustainability and home is a big part of that. Our viewers care about sustainability and clean energy. It really helps to keep electric bills low. Solar energy also allows homeowners to have energy independence and keep the lights on when the power goes out.
It also powers EVs making them even more cost effective.
Bill Pierce:
What’s next for Alive & Well?
Michelle Harris:
This has been under wraps. We have been working on a huge episode where we are bringing solar and storage to the Eastwood Ranch Foundation (ERF). ERF is a cat and dog rescue founded by Alison Eastwood (actor, director and daughter of Clint Eastwood).
After the fires in California last year, they have been losing power from grid instability and the utilities shutting off the power from wind events. Alive & Well and our partners stepped in to help and install solar and storage. It’s a great opportunity to show the 360 degree nature of solar and storage and EV charging! We are shooting it for an upcoming episode.

Alive & Well’s Harris is a Lifestyle Expert Helping You to Live Better
At its core, the show blends expert insights with practical application. Rather than presenting wellness as an abstract ideal, Harris brings viewers into conversations with professionals, thought leaders, and everyday individuals who are actively navigating their own health journeys. The format creates a grounded, relatable tone that resonates with audiences looking for actionable guidance rather than perfection.
What sets Alive & Well apart is its holistic lens. Episodes often touch on nutrition, movement, mindfulness, and lifestyle habits, and sustainability and renewable energy, but they also address broader themes such as stress management, personal growth, and community connection. This integrated approach reflects a growing understanding that well-being is not defined by a single metric, but by how different aspects of life work together.
Harris’s role as both host and producer is central to the show’s identity. Her perspective shapes the narrative direction, ensuring that each episode maintains a consistent focus on authenticity and accessibility. There is a clear emphasis on meeting viewers where they are, rather than prescribing rigid routines or one-size-fits-all solutions.
The series also aligns with a larger cultural shift. Audiences are increasingly skeptical of quick fixes and are seeking more credible, experience-driven content. Alive & Well responds to that demand by highlighting sustainable practices and long-term thinking, positioning wellness as an ongoing process rather than a goal.
Ultimately, the show succeeds by making wellness feel attainable. It does not rely on extremes or unattainable standards. Instead, it presents a framework for living that is adaptable, informed, and grounded in everyday reality.
April is Earth Month Every Year
Earth Month, celebrated each April, highlights the importance of environmental stewardship and collective action. Building on the legacy of Earth Day (April 22), it expands the focus from a single day to a month-long commitment to sustainability. Individuals, businesses, and communities use this time to reduce waste, conserve energy, and support cleaner technologies such as renewable energy and electric vehicles.
Earth Month serves as a reminder that small, consistent changes can drive meaningful impact, while also encouraging larger systemic efforts to protect natural resources, reduce emissions, and create a more resilient, sustainable future. EVinfo.net hopes that you treat every day like Earth Day.
Alive & Well airs nationwide on the USA TODAY network and in syndication nationwide. For more information on Alive & Well visit www.aliveandwell.tv.
