OnPoint EV Solutions Expands Footprint With New EV Charging Sites in Sugar Land, Texas
On December 9, 2025, OnPoint EV Solutions announced the launch of EV charging services in Sugar Land, Texas, marking another step in the company’s multi-market expansion strategy and its roadmap of hundreds of planned sites by the end of 2026. The initiative is powered by a collaborative team of partners that includes Influent Energy and UpTime EV Charger, whose combined expertise strengthens OnPoint’s ability to deliver dependable charging infrastructure at scale.
On Point installed six Level 2 EV charging chargers at the Imperial Park Recreation Center. These chargers serve Sugar Land On-Demand, the city’s microtransit service, as well as the public.

The city of Sugar Land sponsored Sugar Land On-Demand, the city’s innovative microtransit service, featuring a mostly fully electric fleet. Designed as a hybrid between a rideshare and a traditional bus, this service brings convenience and flexibility to daily travel.
On Point installed eight fast-charging DCFC BTC EV chargers at the Sugar Land Regional Airport, working with Kenneth Durbin C.M., Assistant Director of Aviation. Four CCSI chargers will go live upon release, then four more NACS in four to six weeks.
The Sugar Land Regional Airport’s main focus is corporate aviation, while maintaining a balance for the community’s general aviation needs. The airport offers first class customer service and amenities through Global Select, a leading fixed based operator (FBO).

Carol McCutcheon, the Mayor of the City of Sugar Land, said: “I would like to thank everyone for joining us today to celebrate the City’s first OnPoint EV Solutions, DC Fast Charging Electric Vehicle charging station. With our partners at OnPoint EV Solutions, Influent Energy, UpTime Charger, and Argent Associates, we are providing electric vehicle charging for our citizens, customers and visitors here at the airport and at the Imperial Park Recreation Center. We couldn’t have offered this on our own. We are very fortunate that we do not have to. We truly appreciate this team.”

OnPoint EV Solutions Is Targeting Four Vertical Markets: Municipalities, Convenience Stores, Auto Dealerships, and Tire & Auto Centers
These projects represent one of four vertical markets that OnPoint is actively developing. The Sugar Land project arrives as OnPoint accelerates work across its municipal vertical.
Municipalities, convenience stores, auto dealerships and tire and auto centers each offer prime conditions for new EV charging because they attract steady, repeat traffic and already serve as natural stopping points in a driver’s routine.
Municipal sites such as parks, libraries, airports and city halls draw residents for daily activities and provide public visibility and long-term reliability, making them ideal hubs for community charging.

Following this ribbon cutting, the company is preparing to roll out municipality EV charging programs with Missouri City, Texas, including City Hall, Quail Valley Golf Course and The Tennis and Recreation Center. Additional municipalities already in the pipeline include Ave Maria, Florida, Caldwell, Idaho and the City of Hialeah, Florida.
Convenience stores sit at the crossroads of travel, offering quick amenities that pair perfectly with short charging sessions and allow drivers to top up while continuing their route. OnPoint is working with Jacksons Stores and Travelers Oasis.
Auto dealerships benefit by supporting their own EV inventory, offering customers hands-on familiarity with charging and creating a dependable service asset for both sales and after-sales care. OnPoint EV Solutions and GenZ Automotive partnered to provide charging to the Polestar Dealership Program.
Tire and auto centers are equally well positioned because drivers already visit for maintenance, making it simple to integrate charging with existing service appointments. On Point is working with Big O Tires, 1st MILE, and Flynn.
Together, these four sectors form a diverse, highly practical foundation for expanding EV infrastructure in locations where people already live, shop and maintain their vehicles. Through choosing these verticals, OnPoint EV Solutions is well positioned for success.
Convenience Stores: Jackson’s and Travelers Oasis
The company’s broader strategy covers convenience stores such as Jacksons Stores in Idaho, California and Washington, along with Travelers Oasis in Idaho.
In April 2025, EVinfo.net reported on OnPoint’s groundbreaking on new EV charging stations for Jacksons Food Stores, marking an important expansion of fast-charging infrastructure across the West Coast. The partnership introduced Level 3 DC fast charging stations.

The groundbreaking ceremony, attended by Jacksons Food Stores President Cory Jackson and OnPoint EV Solutions CEO Rolly Woolsey, signaled the start of a rollout that will place advanced charging equipment at Jacksons locations in Idaho, California, and Washington. Each site will feature solar canopies, high-speed internet, security systems, and digital kiosks integrated with both companies’ mobile apps.
The project is supported by Uptime EV Charger, Influent Energy, Argent Associates, and several additional partners responsible for solar, construction, precast design, software, electrical engineering, and ongoing operations and maintenance.
The charging sites will initially use BTC Power units capable of delivering up to 360 kW to a single vehicle or a minimum of 180 kW when both dispensers are active. In the future, OnPoint will be using Kempower Satellite Dispensers with both NACS and CCS1 connectors, tied to scalable Power Cabinets that can grow from 400kW to over 1mW.
Auto Dealerships: Polestar
Through a joint strategic partnership program, OnPoint EV Solutions and GenZ Automotive have developed an EV Charging as a Service program that will be the cornerstone of the new Polestar Dealership Program.
OnPoint’s plan includes partnerships with auto dealerships such as Polestar in New Jersey. In New Jersey, OnPoint is collaborating with Prestige Auto’s Matthew Haiken, as well as Polestar Corporate to deliver the first Polestar Branded Dealership in the USA.
In San Antonio, Texas, OnPoint is collaborating with Principal Auto Group to deliver the second Polestar Branded Dealership in the USA.
Tire and Auto Centers: 1st MILE and its Customers
Tire and auto centers are another area of growth, with collaborations in Nevada, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Through a strategic alliance with 1stMILE, more than 17,000 additional sites are entering the pipeline. OnPoint’s alignment with 1stMile brings tire repair shops back into the EV customer ecosystem.
1stMILE delivers a consumer-driven commerce platform that seamlessly connects consumers, their vehicles, and repair shops, simplifying the entire automotive service experience. Through the 1stMILE mobile application, consumers can manage their cars and interact with their preferred repair shops anytime, anywhere.
On Point is working with John Wall, CEO, and Ed John, VP of Business Development at 1stMILE to launch these programs.
Onpoint Has an Obsession With Simplifying EV Charging
At the center of this expansion is a company ethos that OnPoint describes as an obsession with simplifying EV charging.
OnPoint EV Solutions designs, builds and deploys charging infrastructure and software tailored to the needs of each client. Its mission is to identify and implement meaningful innovation across the EV charging market, pursuing technologies and business models that make charging more efficient, accessible and sustainable.
