Driving electric vehicle adoption

Power Hero CEO Explains Value of Investments in Company’s Flexible Charging Access for 117M American Multifamily Residents

Multifamily electric vehicle (EV) charging is becoming critically important in North America because a growing number of people live in apartments, condos, or other multi-unit dwellings without access to private garages or dedicated charging stations. Unlike single-family homeowners, these residents cannot easily install chargers at home, making public and shared charging essential to support widespread EV adoption. In addition, millions of older single-family houses are under-powered and very costly to upgrade their electricity feed.

As EV sales continue to rise, the lack of accessible charging in multifamily communities is emerging as a major barrier for prospective buyers or lessees. Residents may delay purchasing an EV if they cannot reliably charge at home, limiting the overall adoption of electric vehicles and slowing progress toward regional and national climate goals.

Equitable access is also a key factor. Data from major cities shows that EV ownership is often concentrated in wealthier neighborhoods where single-family homes are common, while lower- and middle-income residents living in multifamily housing have far fewer opportunities to charge. Expanding charging infrastructure in these areas helps reduce this disparity and ensures all residents can participate in the shift to electric transportation.

Additionally, multifamily EV charging supports broader sustainability and city planning goals. Increased EV adoption in urban and suburban centers reduces greenhouse gas emissions, improves air quality, and helps cities meet climate action targets. Public or shared chargers in parking lots, garages, and common areas can also create business opportunities for property owners and fleet operators, who may offer charging as an amenity or revenue source. However, that’s not good enough according to Esmond Goei, Chairman, CEO & Founder at Power Hero Corporation as he believes that the convenience of home charging is what apartment dwellers want.

Finally, planning for multifamily charging now ensures that infrastructure keeps pace with future EV growth. North American cities are experiencing rapid increases in EV registrations, and early investment in multifamily charging prevents bottlenecks, reduces range anxiety, and positions communities to fully participate in the electrified transportation future.

In short, much more multifamily EV charging is needed to make EV ownership practical, equitable, and sustainable for the millions of residents who live in shared housing across North America. More specifically personal charging, without queuing as people just hate to wait in line.

Power Hero is addressing the lack of multifamily charging, redefining how electric vehicle (EV) charging networks are built. Instead of constructing expensive new infrastructure, the company’s cloud-connected technology turns existing chargers and standard electrical outlets into accessible, revenue-generating public assets. The company is currently seeking investors.

Esmond Goei, Chairman, CEO & Founder at Power Hero Corporation, spoke about his goals for Power Hero.

“We can’t change the past. But we can modify our behavior, and that includes doing our part to stop polluting our world. My goal with Power Hero is to remove the hurdles to operating an EV, and that means making it convenient to recharge them. The ultimate convenience is being able to charge your EV when you’re home, or when you are not using it,” said Goei.

Power Hero’s Innovative Cameo™ Adapter Makes Any Level 2 Charger Part of A Shared, Monetized Network

Through Power Hero’s innovative Cameo™ adapter, any private Level 2 charger can instantly become part of a shared, neighborhood-based, monetized charging network, much like an “Airbnb” for charging. Property owners simply attach the adapter to their existing equipment, while Power Hero’s platform handles everything from discovery and reservations to secure payments. This transforms idle chargers into consistent income sources and expands EV access for millions of drivers.

Cameo delivers immediate monetization without requiring new installations or heavy capital investment. The automated, cloud-based system scales effortlessly as more chargers join the network, creating a powerful peer-to-peer ecosystem. While competitors invest heavily in new charging stations, Power Hero leverages the millions of underused Level 2 chargers already installed across the United States, addressing the availability problem with an agile, low-cost solution. Therein lies the cure for range anxiety as EV drivers worry less about how far they can drive when they know they can always find a home EV charger in communities across the country, and even reserve them in advance.

For drivers facing emergencies, Cameo ensures a safety net wherever there’s a Cameo-enabled home, there’s a potential lifeline.

Bill Pierce:

You are a serial entrepreneur with over three decades of experience in launching, leading, and transforming companies in various industries. What attracted you to the EV charging industry and electric vehicles in general? Which EVs do you own currently or in the past, and what challenges did you face as an early adopter?

Esmond Goei:

It was a combination of things, starting with my desire to get an EV to do my part in reversing climate change and my research in how I would charge it since we had no chargers or sockets where I was renting. That meant I had to charge using public chargers which were few and far between, if they were even available. It didn’t take me long to abandon the idea of getting an EV, and I wasn’t about to revert back to owning a house with all the necessary responsibilities for maintenance. I realized then and there that there were millions like me in the same situation and that America wouldn’t meet its EV adoption goals if we don’t make it convenient for apartment dwellers to charge where they live. To this date I do not own an EV until Power Hero makes it possible for me to conveniently charge at home. Hopefully that would be in Q1 2026.

Bill Pierce:

I’ve seen several other companies who offer shared Level 2 charging networks. What makes your network, Cameo, different or better?

Esmond Goei:

Let me start by saying that the problem isn’t just about having access to a charger, it’s about having convenient access. Society is big on instant gratification, that means we don’t like to wait for anything, least of all to charge our EV and then watch our EV charge, so in our books sharing is out. That’s the single fundamental difference between us and other providers, we eliminate or reduce the waiting factor, even for apartment dwellers.

Our portable or transportable PowerPac means that apartment dwellers don’t have to share a charger, if it’s even available for the time they desire, since they will have their own charger which they can charge in their apartment when they are at work. Then when they get home they wheel it down to wherever they are parked. See, that’s another factor that others don’t get about apartment charging which is that residents don’t necessarily have a designated parking spot, or for that matter, a spot that has a socket nearby.

Another differentiating factor is that while other companies will have to engage the building’s HOA and/or the city’s permitting department, our PowerPac is designed for home use like any other 120V appliance. You don’t have to wait months to get EV charging. Our Cameo offers an alternative solution to apartment EV owners in that it doesn’t require any charger equipment ownership at all, and that can be a big factor in the economics of EV ownership. With Cameo, the EV owner can simply reserve the use of a neighborhood fast Level-2 charger at a neighbor’s home garage or driveway, much like using Airbnb to rent a home, except we rent EV chargers.

Bill Pierce:

PowerPac seems like an innovative new paradigm in EV charging that I haven’t seen before. Are any companies offering or planning to offer a similar product that you are aware of? Can you tell me about the early PowerPac prototype trials by test consumers?

Esmond Goei:

I’m not aware of another company having a suite of products like we do, or we wouldn’t be granted our 17 patents. Interestingly enough, our trials were at single-family homes with attached garages which confirmed our belief that the market for PowerPac extended beyond apartment dwellers.

Our trial homes didn’t have enough power to support Level-2 charging so user feedback was very positive. We also learnt that row houses like townhouses with private garages share a communal electrical feed from the utility company. So any home that wanted to install a Level-2 charger would have to dig up concrete and run a powerline to get off the communal feed to a remote substation costing thousands of dollars. At least one trial user complained that he was spending $300 a month to charge his EV at public stations.

Bill Pierce:

Power Hero’s ePort™ allows any standard outlet to become a revenue-generating Level 1 EV charging station. I haven’t heard of any other companies doing that. Are you the first that you’re aware of?

Esmond Goei:

We actually developed our ePort before anything else as part of our learning process for setting up reservations and managing the charging process but ultimately we see the ePort as part of a wider offering for charging other personal electronic devices such as laptops, mobile phones, e-scooters and even portable oxygen breathing equipment.

The latter group of equipment has to do with the fact that there are over 14 million adults that have been diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or COPD, in short difficulty in breathing. COPD is the third leading cause of death among chronic diseases in the U.S. So in fact the potential for ePort is in the broader context of providing a reservable network of public electrical outlets for portable electronic devices.

Imagine if Starbucks could regulate the use of their outlets so that power squatters would not be able to hog an outlet for hours for the cost of one latte. Imagine the freedom that we could bring to the handicapped populace who are afraid to venture out of their homes for fear that their breathing equipment would run out of battery charge if they could reserve power points at their planned destinations. After all, breathing isn’t something you can defer.

Bill Pierce:

Any new Power Hero products in the pipeline you can talk about yet?

Esmond Goei:

Well first there’s the usage aspects of our products that of itself could be deemed to be products in the pipeline such as portable PowerPacs. Imagine the crowded city roads in Southeast Asian countries like Thailand with their tuk-tuks, a small three-wheeled motor vehicle cab, what if they could be fitted with PowerPacs to provide emergency charging. And don’t forget our Aircue product which is a smartphone app that provides a directory of power sources such as 120V sockets, or public EV stations. That’s coming very soon.

Bill Pierce:

What would you say to investors interested in investing in Power Hero? Can you explain the discounts and exclusive IPO tag-along rights?

Esmond Goei:

Sure, the first thing I would say is consider the chaotic economic and political environment that we are in and ask yourself where would I invest. To me there are several factors to consider; first and foremost what’s the experience of the Founder and the team, have they managed crises before? Answer is YES many.

Secondly, is the business opportunity large enough to enable the company to succeed and how long is the window of opportunity. EV is the business and it’s growing fast and only beginning. Third, do they have competitive advantages and we sure do in all our product categories. Fourth, is there a tailwind behind the company, and that’s the urgency of reversing climate change.

Finally, is there a single point of failure. NO because Power Hero’s multiple products each has the potential of success in of itself independent of each other.

As to the deal terms that’s better left to our Wefunder campaign page as dictated by regulation.
