Subaru of America Unveils All-new, All-electric, 3-Row 2027 Subaru Getaway SUV
Subaru unveiled the all-new, all-electric 2027 Subaru Getaway at the New York International Auto Show 2026, introducing a three-row SUV that delivers 420 horsepower, more than 300 miles of range, and standard all-wheel drive across all trim levels.
Every version of the Getaway comes equipped with Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system and dual electric motors producing a combined 420 horsepower, providing strong on-road performance and off-road capability. The SUV accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in under five seconds and is rated to tow up to 3,500 pounds. With 8.3 inches of ground clearance and the X-MODE Dual-Mode System, including Snow Dirt and Deep Snow Mud settings, along with Grip Control and Downhill Assist Control, the Getaway is engineered for a wide range of driving environments.

The vehicle is powered by a 95.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, delivering an estimated range of more than 300 miles on a single charge. It features a native NACS charging port, providing access to over 25,000 fast chargers across North America. Charging speeds reach up to 150 kW, allowing the battery to recharge from 10 percent to 80 percent in approximately 30 minutes. A battery preconditioning system is standard, helping maintain charging performance in cold conditions down to 14 degrees Fahrenheit. A standard-range model with a 77.0 kWh battery will also be introduced, with additional details to follow.
Inside, the Getaway offers seating for up to seven passengers with a second-row bench or six passengers with available captain’s chairs. The interior is designed for space and flexibility, with enough headroom and legroom to comfortably accommodate six-foot passengers in all three rows. One-touch second-row folding seats provide easy access to the third row, while a power-folding third row expands cargo capacity when needed. Cargo space reaches 45.6 cubic feet with the third row folded and 15.9 cubic feet with all seats in use.

The cabin features a 14-inch Subaru Multimedia touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, both standard. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, along with available dual wireless smartphone chargers and multiple USB-C ports across all rows. Interior amenities include three-zone climate control, dedicated third-row air vents, customizable ambient lighting, and an available panoramic sunroof. Heated front seats are standard, with available heated and ventilated seating in additional rows and a heated steering wheel on select trims.
Exterior design elements include Subaru’s updated EV styling language, highlighted by a six-star illuminated logo, dynamic daytime running lights that also indicate charging status, and aerodynamic features such as flush door handles. The Getaway comes with 19- or 20-inch wheels depending on trim level, along with available roof rails for additional cargo carrying capability.

The 2027 Subaru Getaway also includes a full suite of EyeSight driver assistance technologies. Standard features include Pre-Collision Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Departure Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control, Emergency Stop Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, and Lane Change Assist. Higher trims add features such as Front Cross Traffic Alert, Intelligent Park Assist, and a digital rearview mirror.
The all-electric Getaway represents Subaru’s fourth EV and is scheduled to arrive at U.S. retailers nationwide in late 2026, with pricing and full specifications to be announced closer to launch.
