Lincoln Electric’s Sustainability Performance Earned a ‘Prime’ ESG Corporate Rating by ISS STOXX

On April 22, 2026, Lincoln Electric Holdings, Inc. announced it had earned its first “Prime” Environmental, Social and Governance rating from ISS STOXX. The designation places the company among top performers in its industry, based on more than 100 sector-specific ESG criteria used to evaluate sustainability performance.

Within the Industrial Machinery and Equipment sector, Lincoln Electric ranked above average in several key areas, including corporate governance, business ethics, environmental management, resource efficiency, and workplace health and safety. The company also received A-level scores across multiple categories covering policies, compliance frameworks, and performance targets tied to environmental and safety outcomes.

The recognition builds on Lincoln Electric’s RISE strategy and its updated 2030 sustainability goals, which are measured against a 2024 baseline. These targets include a 34% reduction in total recordable safety incidents as the company works toward zero harm, along with a 30% cut in Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions. Additional objectives include sourcing 20% of energy from renewables, reducing water intensity by 10% in high-stress regions, and cutting waste sent to disposal by 10%.

The company also plans to conduct life cycle assessments across ten core product families, aimed at helping customers meet their own sustainability targets.

Over the past year, Lincoln Electric has received multiple recognitions, including being named one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies for the eighth time by Ethisphere. It was also listed by Newsweek among America’s Most Responsible Companies and top workplaces for culture and community, and by Forbes as one of the most successful mid-cap companies and a leading midsize employer.

Velion® 50kW DC Fast Charger

Lincoln Electric has introduced the Velion® 50kW DC fast charger, a compact and mobile solution designed to deliver flexible EV charging across a wide range of environments. Built for versatility, the system can be deployed in locations such as dealership service areas, temporary event sites, or construction zones without the need for trenching or complex permitting.

The Velion platform supports scalable output levels of 12.5 kW, 25 kW, and up to 50 kW, allowing operators to match power delivery to specific use cases. It is compatible with both CCS1 and NACS connectors, ensuring broad vehicle coverage. Mobility is a key feature, with configurations that include wheeled units and protective roll cage options for more demanding conditions.

Engineered with durability in mind, the charger incorporates ruggedized components designed to perform in harsh environments. Features such as sealed circuit boards, integrated diagnostics, and remote monitoring capabilities are intended to maximize uptime and reduce maintenance interruptions. The system also meets Buy America requirements, with more than 70% domestic content.

Despite its relatively small footprint, the Velion unit delivers full DC fast charging capability in a lightweight, maneuverable design. Its plug-and-play setup allows for rapid deployment, making it suitable for overflow capacity, emergency response scenarios, or temporary charging needs.

Lincoln Electric backs the product with a three-year standard warranty and a nationwide service network, reflecting its broader industrial support infrastructure. Two primary configurations are available: a standard wheeled model and a version equipped with both wheels and a reinforced roll cage for added protection.

The Velion charger reflects the company’s broader push into EV infrastructure, combining its expertise in power electronics and industrial equipment with growing demand for flexible, deployable charging solutions.

Headquartered in Cleveland, Lincoln Electric develops industrial machinery and advanced technologies that support manufacturing and infrastructure across sectors such as EV charging, welding, automation, and power electronics. The company operates 71 facilities in 20 countries and serves customers in more than 160 markets worldwide.
